Dr. Akihiro Tanaka Joins as Assistant Professor

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Akihiro Tanaka has been appointed as Assistant Professor, effective April 1, 2026.

Dr. Tanaka is a dynamic researcher who has been energetically advancing biochemical, cell biological, and biophysical analyses, with a primary focus on the tardigrade-unique desiccation-tolerance protein CAHS — which was originally identified by our laboratory.

We look forward to further expanding our multi-dimensional research on tardigrade resilence under this new appointment.
