Takekazu Kunieda is a Professor of Extreme Biology at the University of Hyogo, Japan. He leads the Biological Signaling Lab, which explores the molecular mechanisms of extreme resilience in tardigrades and rotifers.
His work seeks to bridge these natural survival strategies with the synthesis of artificial life, ultimately aiming to illuminate the fundamental boundary between inanimate matter and living systems.
Genetic materials for tardigrade tolerance are available from the following distributor.
